Canine Inc provides the most comprehensive protection programs available today. Our approach comes from a very complex perspective.
The owner of Canine Inc is a formally educated canine behaviorist, training specialist, Police K-9 instructor/trainer, fully commissioned Reserve K-9 deputy and educator. We possess a unique perspective that addresses the behavior and psychology behind protection dog training, the balance of instincts combined with trained behaviors and finally an understanding of protection needs and execution from a true law enforcement perspective. In most circumstances, folks tend to either get the perspective of book smarts or street smarts, corporate, versus those in the trenches. Canine Inc represents the best of both worlds.
We work with the best and largest pet care organizations in the world on canine behavior and training, as well as educating law enforcement ranging from US Marshals to local Police Departments on canine behavior/psychology as it relates to on scene circumstances. When we aren’t representing the suit and tie side of canine behavior, psychology and training; we are in the trenches training. Canine Inc’s owner knows first hand the protection needs and execution as a fully commissioned Reserve Deputy working the streets. A Reserve Deputy is a volunteer law enforcement officer who receives training and a commission specific to the needs of the county or city they work in. While some Reserve Deputies carry limited or partial commissions, Jon Stolzer carries a full commission. His experience dealing with criminals and working K-9 with his dual purpose trained dog Apollo (narcotics detection and suspect apprehension) have given him first hand experience in the needs of family protection canines. We are the difference between ideas and execution. The benefit of our experience shows in the caliber of training our dogs posses.

While there are many breeds capable of protecting your family, your choice should be as unique as you are. Our process is designed to match you with a breed appropriate for your lifestyle. We believe in setting both you and your protection up for success by educating you on your options.
Obedience
We at Canine Inc believe a protection dog is useless without obedient control. While many protection dogs gain their obedience training on the sports field, we believe in obedience applicable to your lifestyle. Ease of use is top of mind at Canine Inc and we want you to be able to enjoy your protection companion both on and off leash. Obedience is separated into what we refer to as Lifestyles Obedience Training and Performance Obedience Training.
Our lifestyles training provides skills appropriate for everyday interactions, both in your home and out in public. The performance Training system creates reliability in the most intense and unpredictable situations. We break down the elements necessary to be successful. We look at the dog through behavior/psychology, instinct, natural responses and trained responses. This is where having a credentialed behaviorist is vital to successful training. Having a complete and full understanding of the behavior/psychology of the species helps us to create differences when it really matters. Implementing obedient trained behaviors in the place of raw natural instinct must be done delicately and reliably every time.
Personal Delivery
It is our goal it be there for you in this process from start to finish. We want you to be in a position of 100% confidence and comfort with your new protection companion. This is why we offer In home delivery options domestically and internationally. This portion of the experience is called a “Handler Program.” The owner and head trainer of Canine Inc, Jon Stolzer and or another trainer will travel to your home for a hands on tutorial. We will walk you through everything you need to know in order to feel absolute comfort with your new protection companion. This includes obedience in and out of your home, introductions to family,friends, other family pets, scenario training to provide you first hand experience executing commands and much more.
If you don’t already have a veterinarian that you are happy with, Canine Inc staff will locate the top veterinarians and groomers in your area for maintenance with your new protection dog.
Clients will be responsible for flight, hotel and vehicle rental. Purchase of your protection companion includes the cost of training during the Personal Delivery Handler Program. Clients will also receive an instructional packet of reference information and education. Handler Programs average between two and four days.
